Lexar Launches Two Affordable High-Capacity Portable SSDs (ES3 and SL300)

Lexar has introduced two new portable SSDs, the ES3 and SL300, offering up to 2TB of storage and high-speed data transfers via USB 3.2 Gen 2.

Both models are priced under $200, making them budget-friendly options for photographers, content creators, and on-the-go backups.

The compact SSDs feature read speeds of up to 1,050 MB/s and write speeds of up to 1,000 MB/s. Each drive comes with a 2-in-1 USB-C/USB-A cable, ensuring compatibility with most computers.

Lexar has also integrated double-layer graphite sheets to keep the SSDs cool during intensive tasks.

The Lexar ES3 offers basic drop resistance (up to 2 meters), while the SL300 adds an IP54 rating for water and dust resistance, making it more suitable for outdoor use. Despite these differences, both drives share identical performance.

These drives target users transitioning from older hard disk drives (HDDs), offering faster speeds and improved durability at similar price points to legacy solutions.
